WARSAW, September 4 -- Seven U.S. Air Force F-16s will arrive at the Lask air force base near Lodz central Poland on Friday.
The machines are on a rotational tour and will remain in Poland until early October and will take part in the Polish Army's Anakonda-14 exercise.
Earlier on Thursday the Polish Armed Forces General Command informed that a U.S. Air Force Hercules transporter with technicians to service the F-16s had arrived in Lask.
Besides the Anakonda manoeuvres, the F-16 crews will participate in training with Polish pilots and other Polish Army units.
In March the U.S. Administration decided to raise military aid to its NATO allies in connection with the Ukraine crisis. U.S. Air Force rotational tours in Poland are guaranteed by a 2011 Polish-U.S. government agreement with the first tour taking place in early 2013.
